Most of us take it for granted. We shower and water with it, and as long as sludge isn't dripping from our taps we don't think about it, much less worry that our water tastes better than, say, the water in Okeechobee County. Not the folks who run our water utilities especially those in Martin County. They claim bragging rights. For the third year in a row their water has been voted "best tasting" in the American Water Works Association's Region 8. Martin County water beat out water from 11 other systems, including Indian River, St. Lucie, Glades, Highlands, Martin, and Okeechobee counties. When I heard the news I decided I wanted some independent verification and a chance at my own taste test. I especially wanted to compare Indian River and St. Lucie County's water to Martin County's water.
Whole Foods close to submitting plans for Boise store
BOISE -- Gourmet grocery chain "Whole Foods" could submit building plans to the city of Boise by month's end. They call for much more than just a store. The designs call for a 55,000 square-foot grocery store that would share a 17-story building with condominiums and a hotel. The store would be located on Broadway Avenue between Front and Myrtle streets - a site originally intended for University Place. .

AFC Wimbledon central defender Antony Howard swept the board at the Dons end of season award presentation on Saturday. Howard won three from five awards including the WDON.com, Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association and players player of the year awards during the presentation after the full time whistle of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Heybridge Swifts. Midfielder Luke Garrard scooped the Womble Underground young player of the year award and Roscoe Dsane was named the Junior Dons player of the season. .
